I'll bet you came here looking for chocolate. Chocolate has always been the acknowledged "soul candy". How many times have you heard that a good piece of chocolate is better than sex? Depends on the sex, right? Now, if you can have sex AND chocolate.....

After I retired from cooking, I wanted to do something different. My second love has always been jewelry, so I trained to become a fine jewelry salesperson. It afforded me the chance to be around gemstones and to indulge in one of my other hobbies; talking with people! When I saw a woman look longingly at a piece of jewelry, I would approach and we'd talk about it. I would encourage her to hold it, try it on, feel the energy from the piece. Too many times, she would say that she would have to ask her husband. The standard phrase went something like," No..I had better not. I need to consult with my husband". She might return many times to admire it again. I'd be thinking that this piece obviously wanted to go home with her. Many times, it was obvious that budget was not the issue. So, what was?

Ladies,  as well as any gentlemen, we all need soul candy. That's the way I always referred to jewelry; it's soul candy! Perfume is soul candy, that new pair of shoes you've admired, 15 minutes of solitude in a bubble bath..soul candy. It's whatever makes you feel good about yourself, whatever nourishes your spirit and we all deserve to be nourished. This is the main theme of my husband's and my website; nourishment.
