This looks like a nylon stocking stretched over the bowl! Is that raw brass chain being antiqued?

You control the color by the amount of time the brass spends suspended above the vinegar. Make sure
the lid fits tightly (or it stinks up the place) and leave your brass components in for a few minutes. These filigrees
were in for 30 minutes. You can check them at any time. Take them out when they are the right color. Wash
and dry and they are done! You may want to polish a bit with a polishing cloth if needed.
When the process gets too slow, add more vinegar!
